Dear Family, Friends and Supporters,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank each of you for your hard work and support during my 2004 run for the 2nd Congressional District seat. Without your prayers, donations and tireless work, our campaign would not have been as successful as it was.
At the start of our 2004 campaign, seven months prior to election day, I had zero name recognition in the 2nd Congressional District; however, on election night, I secured 21% or 46,000 votes, whichs equates to over 3 votes for every $1 spent on the campaign -- not too bad for a first time run against an entrenched incumbent during an extremely heated Presidential and Senatorial election year.
Now is the time to begin our 2006 campaign. This election should be the only major race in the District and thus have a low voter turnout. This coupled with the name recognition we gained in last year’s race makes it an excellent time for we the people to regain our Congressional District seat.
During the coming weeks, I will be organizing the campaign. If you are interested in helping in anyway please contact us at 504-201-1850 or e-mail us at info@schwertz.com. Also if you are interested in making a donation to get the Campaign underway, mail a check to:

Art Schwertz

2nd District Race Offers Clear Contrast
Incumbent faces a fresh challenge
While some voters might need a scorecard to sort through the crowded Nov. 2 ballot for the 1st and 3rd Congressional District races, things are much simpler in the 2nd District.
