Orleans Republican PEC Unanimously Endorses Schwertz
New Orleans, LA, September 9, 2004 - The Orleans Republican PEC unanimously endorsed New Orleans Businessman and Community Leader, Art Schwertz, in the Second Congressional District Race.
In a message that was well received, Schwertz told those in attendance, "For too long the Democratic Party has taken the Black Vote for granted and the Republican Party has acted as if it isn't interested. It is time for that to change!"
"We must go into the inner city and fix the social programs that are currently in place so that the people which the programs are intended to help are actually being helped. At the same time we must create incentives for businesses not only to go into the inner city to hire workers but also to give business tax incentives to train the workers."
