Jefferson Alliance Endorses Schwertz Over 14 Year Incumbent
Kenner, LA, October 5, 2004 - The Jefferson Alliance, A Good Government Organization endorsed New Orleans Businessman and Community Leader, Art Schwertz, in the Second Congressional District Race over the 14-year Incumbent.
In a message to those in attendance at the forum, Schwertz said, ""We must go into the inner city and fix the social programs that are currently in place so that the people which the programs are intended to help are actually being helped. At the same time we must create incentives for businesses not only to go into the inner city to hire workers but also to give business tax incentives to train the workers."
